52 Weeks of Star Wars is a weekly photo project starring various characters from the Star Wars franchise. This photo project is a continuation of sorts to my original series; 365 Days of Clones, specially my Cloned Photos mini-series.

Today marks the Thirty Third creation in this year long adventure. As the title suggests; 52 Weeks of Star Wars, one new photo will be taken, edited and added to the running total every Sunday. The twist is that all the images will be a recreation of sorts of a previous image. Some; like today, will be album covers, some will be film posters and others will be famous or well known images of the 20th century. There may even be the odd recreation of a painting!

“Sith” is my recreation of Michael Jackson’s 1987 album; Bad. Bad is the fifth all time best selling album, selling approximately 45 million copies world wide. If you are wondering what the other top four are…Whitney Houston’s “The Bodyguard” at number four, Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon” at number three, AC/DC’s “Back in Black” at number two and of course Michael Jackson’s “Thriller" at number one; selling over 100 million copies world wide!

“Bad” was originally released in August of 1987 and this year marks its 25th anniversary.

Some of you may be wondering why I chose to create a Cloned Photo base upon this iconic album cover. I have wanted to try my hand at recreating this one for a while but I couldn’t figure out which character from the Star Wars franchise to use. I had contemplated using Boba Fett in place of Jackson, and to be honest he worked well with the “Bad” text; but truth be told, I wanted to personalize the text. Replacing the word “Bad” with “Sith” allowed me to use Anakin. It also allowed me to reveal Anakin’s Dark Side.

Enjoy!
